Check in and an introduction. We take 15-20 min at the meeting point and then start the walk.

  • 7:00pm – 40s to mid 50s

The meeting point is at the the Bull Island. It is easily accessible by public transport and it offers ample parking. The exact meeting point will be sent a day before the walk to the email address used for booking an Eventbrite ticket.

It’s an outdoor event, so come prepared. The sea breeze always makes it feel a touch chillier than you expect! Pop something warmer into your bag just in case. A warm raincoat might be appreciated.

Bring an umbrella — it might work as a windshield and will make conversations much easier.

There are two age groups starting the walk at a different time. 

This should make it easier to connect with people who are on a similar page in life. See “How it works” for further details.

The walk is approximately 5k on mixed surfaces, including tarmac paths, sand and grass. Please wear appropriate footwear.

What is the Dress Code

There is no dress code. Wear something comfortable and weatherproof. Moody weather is not unusual in Ireland, and the sea breeze always makes it cooler.

Absolutely! There are only singles there and this is what we are meeting for! However, please be aware that some people might not feel comfortable with it. 

 

Some other ways to connect after the event:

  1. WhatsApp group for participants only. If you wish, join it as the registration or later. 
  2. Join an event on Meetup.com. Both the free and the paid versions allow you to connect with other attendees for 24 hours after the event ends. Please note: you must join the event before it finishes in order to access that 24-hour connection window. Don’t miss the opportunity!
  3. If any of these works, feel free to contact the host by email if you’d like help connecting with another Moon Walker.

Yes, furry friends are welcome but only under the condition that they are well behaved and kept on a short leash at all times. If any of the participants will report an allergy, I might ask to leave the pet at home.

YES, it possible via Eventbrite website 48 hours before the event.

The event will go ahead in any weather conditions. It will be cancelled with a full refund if there is an official weather warning in place. 

The event aims a reasonable gender balance. For this reason we might temporally pause some tickets and restart the sale later on. Check back on in a day or so. 

If you are around 40, feel free to choose the age group you are more interested in meeting people from. I would kindly ask that you don’t stretch this flexibility too much, as people in each group will have certain expectations about the other participants as well.

A waiting list ticket is NOT an event entry guarantee but you are a step closer!

  1. Purchase a waiting list ticket (this can be cancelled as per Eventbrite cancelation policy).
  2. If a ticket becomes available more than 24 hours before the official event start time, your waiting list ticket will automatically be transferred to an attendee ticket, and you will be notified by email (please check your spam folder).
  3. If a ticket becomes available less than 24 hours before the official event start time, you will be contacted to confirm your availability. If you are available, your waiting list ticket will be transferred to an attendee ticket.
  4. Please note that more than one person may be contacted at the same time. In this situation, the first person to confirm will receive the available ticket. Do not delay the response if you are still available. 
  5. Once a waiting list ticket has been transferred to an attendee ticket, the standard refund and cancellation policy will apply, in accordance with the Eventbrite cancellation policy.
  6. If no ticket is offered, or if you are unavailable when contacted, a full refund will be issued within 3 days after the event.
